Dr. Dolores Tarver
Dr. Tarver received a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Xavier University of Louisiana and a Masters of Arts and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She has worked at the University of Memphis Center for Counseling and Testing, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Counseling Psychology Program, the University of Georgia Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS), and West Central GA Regional Hospital Positive Behavior Support Team. She is currently a licensed psychologist at Columbus Psychological Associates where she provides individual and couples’ therapy and psychological testing (academic, personality, bariatric, pre-employment, court ordered, financial competency) to adults ages 18+. Dr. Tarver believes in the importance of balance (mind, body, and spirit) to create mental wellness. She is a member of the Columbus Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and advocates for eradicating the stigma of mental illness, mental health treatment and education, and promoting healthy skills.
